Bah, I always forget to update this thing... so I gave up and decided to start a stamp wall like everyone else.

And... Some stuff I just had to put here! (Figured out what I'm obsessed with yet? XP)

Would you buy any of this merchandise if I offered it?

I've decided to use my design club as a portfolio as well, for all the stuff I'm doing now that I'm in college. That way it'll stay separate from all my older... stuff.

So, ya. If you've been watching me, and still want to watch me, watch that account. If you want to watch my work but not be considered a part of the club, don't add it as a friend, just watch the artwork. And if you do want to be part of the club, remember to watch the scraps/journal too so you'll get contest updates.

New account, or club, if you're interested

So I've made myself a new account. It'll have design contests, tips and tutorials... and it'll be fun as soon as people start like, keeping up with it.

So click: :iconkeepitsimple-stupid: and watch if you're interested, and be sure to tell your watch list to notify you of scraps and journals or you'll be totally clueless when it comes to contests and other updates.

So, my store is finally up and open for business... I got a lot of questions last year after I uploaded pictures of some blobs I'd made for friends (i.e. "aww... can I have one?") so now you can! Of course, they cost money... but not much. Just click on the link below, and feel free to ask whatever questions you want.

Hey everyone!

For those of you who don't already know, I run an online magazine called The Guthan ([link]). It was started as a way for writers and photographers to get their work out there and see what the world thinks. It has yet to get of the ground, however, because we have had very unreliable staff teams... still, I'm not ready to give up.

So, time for a new plan!

In the past, I have managed to find plenty of people who want to get their work into the magazine - writers, photographers, illustrators, anyone - but most of them have been unwilling or unable to commit to it for longer than a month (if that). So instead of having a staff of 10 who I'm constantly chasing after, there will be two editors - me and Zenobia (maybe a third eventually, don't know...) - and everyone else who's interested will have an account to submit stuff and have a chance at getting some exposure to the general public. This way, in theory, we will have an easier time putting out an issue each month (because there will be more staff) and I won't be as much of a stress case.

So, if you write or do photography as a hobby or are looking into it for a future career... or are already doing that kind of thing and just want something else to do on the side, send me an e-mail (oceanlady@gmail.com) or a note with some examples of your work. I'll run it by Zen and then send you back an e-mail (or note) with instructions on how to join the staff forum.

Really, all we ask of you is an article every month or two or some photos to do with an article that caught your eye... it's not a huge job, especially if it's something you already do all the time. This is not a paying job, just a way of getting some exposure, so it should be something you like doing.

And... since you're reading this in my journal, mind faving the news so other people can see it? [link]

Yay College!

So as many of you know, I'm now in college... and my program includes a drawing class and a photography class. So expect to be seeing a lot of photography and drawings. I know I haven't been uploading much in the past year, but this year I will, I promise.

So, because a lot of my work will be assignments for college, any critiquing you guys can do would be great. I like to hear that you think that my drawings/photos are awesome, but there must be something I can improve.

And also, here are some people I met in my classes, check them out:

On a completely different note, I've been getting some people asking me about my little blob drawings and figurines again. I hope to be selling those again as soon as I get my college stuff in order and set up the computer again (it's a little screwy at the moment). So, if you're interested, you get a digital drawing and a little fimo figurine (about 2-3" tall) that is customized. Most people get little figurines that resemble themselves or a friend or something - they're good for gifts. They'll be $10, I think, still working that out. And you don't have to pay until I come up with a drawing you like, and the figurine will be based on the drawing.

If you really want to jump the line and get your request in, then it'll be $15 instead of $10, and you can just note me and we'll figure it all out.

And... if you haven't noticed, I don't have a subscription right now. I ordered it, but I still don't have a credit card. So, it's coming, everything will be up again soon.

Well, that's all for now.
